Ramcharit Manas

Description

The Ramcharitmanas also called as Tulsi Krit Ramayana of Goswami Tulsidas (c. 1532-1623) is a sixteenth century retelling of the Sanskrit epic, the Ramayana of Valmiki. The Ramcharitmanas inspired and shaped the spiritual, ethical, and moral worldview of the people of India and its diaspora through its textual, oral, performative, and folk traditions. The Ramcharitmanas is the sole guide for living for millions around the world who receive it as a Shastra. It has served as a survival text for the poor and oppressed during invasions and colonization and continues to inspire Hindu cultural and civilizational sustenance today.
